Observing Documenting, and Assessing to Support Young Children and Families
I know about and understand the goals, benefits, and uses of assessment. I know about and use systematic observations, documentation, and other effective assessment strategies in a responsible way, in partership with families and other professionals, to positively influence children's development and learning. (NAEYC Standard #4)
Accurately knowing where the children are at in their development helps me as the teacher to provide them with the next learning experience. I assess students learning in many ways.
